Title: Devotion of a Son to his Mother

Once young Bayezid Bostami was reading beside his ailing mother at night. Suddenly, his mother wanted some water to drink and fell asleep. Bayezid wend to bring water to his mother. But there was not a bit of water at home. He decided to bring water from the distant fountain. He went there pushing back the darkness and fear of his mind. Returning home he took a glass of water to his mother and found her asleep. Then he waited there till the early down of night with a glass of water. The mother remembered her asking for water. Seeing her son obeying and serving her like this, she blessed him from the core of her heart, and one day, that boy become the great saint.
