The topic of the debate competition was 'Ways and Means to Eradicate Corruption from Bangladesh'. About ten colleges of the city participated in the competition. The function was presided over by the Principal of the college.
There were also three judges—one from the University of Dhaka, one from the University of Jahangirnagar, and the other from the University of Rajshahi. Professor Dr. Sirajul Islam Chowdhury from the University of Dhaka was the chief judge on the occasion. Professor Dr. Khan Sarwar Murshid graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The students coming from various colleges were well prepared for the purpose and charmed the audience to a great extent with their performance. The judges themselves were also highly pleased with their logical presentation. However, Dhaka College finally became champion, and Rumana Ahmed became the best debator.
