Deterioration of Law and Order in Mymensingh
Sujon Ahmed, Mymensingh, 16 August: The overall law and order situation has recently deteriorated to an alarming extent in the town of Mymensingh. At least 10 incidents of robbery, snatching, silent extortion, and stabbing have been reported in the last two weeks.
The incidents of robbery and snatching in broad day light are rampant in the town. It is reported that the terrorists and criminals who went into hiding have stared returning to the town. It is known that robbery has become a common affair in this town.
Meanwhile, police nabbed a total of eight criminals for their involvement in snatching and robbery at different spots of the town. The arrested persons were identified as Abul Kader (30), Moinuddin (35), Altaf Hossain (25), and Mosharrof (40).
Police sources said that they were trying heart and soul to keep the law and order situation under control.
