Acid thrown on housewife in Sirajgonj

Sirajgonj, May, 20 : One housewife was thrown acid in district's Salanga thana last night. The victim was identified as Lubna Khatun (35), wife of one Abul Kalam of village Dhubil of Sirajgonj. Source said, unidentified miscreants hurled acid on Lubna through the window at around 11:30 last night when she was sleeping with her husband.

Face and other parts of Lubna's body were burnt severely by acid. She was rushed to Sirajgonj Medical College Hospital. The doctors advised her husband to take her to Dhaka for better treatment.

No case was filed with Salanga Police Station in this connection.
