An Ideal Leader
The term 'leader' refers to a person who leads a group of people to achieve certain goal. But in traditional sense, a leader means the head or a country or an organization. There are many leaders in different spheres of life, but every leader is not an ideal leader.
An ideal leader must have must have some good qualities for which he is loved by his fellow people. The most important quality of an ideal leader is his attitude of sacrifice. The next quality which is most important for an ideal leader is honesty. He must be honest to his commitments. There must be similarity between his speech and his deed. Again, an ideal leader must have strong personality. Personality in an ideal leader impresses the people around him. It is said that an ideal leader is not a person himself but it is his personality. But it is a matter of great regret that very few among the present leaders of our country have personality. Most of the leaders in our country are unhesitant in sacrificing their self-esteem and self-respect to their greed for money. An ideal leader should not make any misuse of his power. But it is very sad to mention that our present leaders are always eager to earn personal interest by misusing their power. Finally, an ideal leader should know how to use power for the welfare of the people.
The qualities as described above will produce an ideal leader who will be able to lead the people to achieve higher goals. So, it is very fortunate for the people of any country to have an ideal leader.
