On এর ব্যবহার
i) সংলগ্ন হয়ে উপরে বুঝাতে on বসে । যেমন- The book is on the table.
ii) সময় বা তারিখ বুঝাতে on বসে । যেমন- Rubina will come to me on 10 January.
iii) নির্ভরশীলতা বুঝাতে on বসে । যেমন- The cow lives on grass.
iv) পক্ষে কাজ করা অর্থে on বসে । যেমন- He is on the committee.
v) কোন উপলক্ষ্য বুঝাতে on বসে । যেমন- I will present you on your birthday.
vi) অনুসারে অর্থ বুঝালে on বসে । যেমন- He acted on my advice.
vii) পরপরই বুঝাতে on বসে । যেমন- On receiving the news she burst into tears.
viii) কোন বিষয় সম্বন্ধে বুঝালে on বসে । যেমন- Write an essay on environment pollution.
ix) বস্তুবাচক এমন ক্ষেত্রে 'অবস্থাটি চলমান' এই অর্থে on বসে । যেমন- The house is on fire, The house is on sale.
x) Day বুঝাতে on বসে । যেমন- He will go on Monday. Selim was born on Tuesday.
For এর ব্যবহার
i) জন্যে অর্থে for বসে । যেমন- What can I do for you?
ii) কারণ বুঝালে for বসে । যেমন- I could not go out for rain.
iii) কারো পক্ষে বুঝাতে for বসে । যেমন- Rahim will fight for Jahid.
iv) সময়ের ব্যাপ্তি বুঝাতে for বসে । যেমন- It has been raining for two hours.
v) সত্ত্বের অর্থ বুঝালে for বসে । যেমন- For all his riches, he is unhappy.
vi) কারও পরিবর্তে কিছু করা বুঝালে for বসে । যেমন- Natasha acted for Bipasha.
vii) বিনিময় বুঝাতে for বসে । যেমন- I have bought it for ten taka.
viii) কোন স্থানের উদ্দেশ্য বুঝাতে for বসে । যেমন- Rubina starts for Rajshahi.
By এর ব্যবহার
i) যাতায়াত বা গমন কোন পথে বুঝাতে by হয় । যেমন- I will go there by bus.
ii) নির্দিষ্ট সময়ের আগেই বুঝাতে by বসে । যেমন- I will come back by 5 P.M
iii) পাশে বুঝাতে by হয় । যেমন- He sat by me.
iv) শপথ অর্থ বুঝাতে by হয় । যেমন- He swore by Allah that he would not steal anymore.
v) নিজে নিজে অর্থে by হয় । যেমন- She lives by herself.
vi) অনুসারে বা অনুযায়ী অর্থে by হয় । যেমন- What is the time by your watch?
vii) ধারাবাহিকতা বুঝালে by হয় । যেমন- His health is improving day by day.
viii) পরিমাপ বুঝাতে by হয় । যেমন- The house is 10 feet by 10 feet.
ix) বৈশিষ্ট্য বা অবস্থান বুঝাতে by বসে । যেমন- He is a lawyer by profession.
x) কোন কাজ যার দ্বারা সম্পাদিত হয়, সেই ব্যক্তির পূর্বে by বসে । যেমন- Hamlet is written by William Shakespear.
About এর ব্যবহার
i) প্রায় অর্থ বুঝালে about হয় । যেমন- Now it is about 10 P.M
ii) কোন বিষয়ে সম্বন্ধে কিছু করা বা বলা বুঝালে about হয় । যেমন- I know about him.
iii) চারিদিক অর্থ বুঝালে about বসে । যেমন- There is a lake about the locality.
With এর ব্যবহার
i) কোন ব্যক্তির সাথে বুঝাতে with বসে। যেমন- Selim lives with me.
ii) উপর অর্থে with বসে। যেমন- He is angry with me.
iii) কোন কিছু দ্বারা বা দিয়ে অর্থে with বসে। যেমন- I finally killed the fly with a rolled up newspaper.
iv) সত্ত্বেও অর্থে with বসে। যেমন- With all his weakness, he is a leader.
v) কাজের বিভিন্ন ভাবের জন্য with বসে। যেমন- He reads the book with much interest.
Under এর ব্যবহার
i) কারো অধীনে বুঝালে under বসে। যেমন- The man serves under me.
ii) অবিচ্ছিন্ন ভাবে কোন কিছু নিচে আছে বুঝালে under হয়। যেমন- The pen is under the book.
iii) প্রক্রিয়াধীন বোঝাতে under বসে। যেমন- My proposal is under consider.
iv) আয়ত্বে আসা বুঝাতে under বসে। যেমন- The situation is now under control.
Below এর ব্যবহার
i) বিচ্ছিন্ন ভাবে নিচে বুঝালে below বসে। যেমন- The cat is below the table.
ii) কোন পর্যায়ের নিচে বুঝালে below বসে। যেমন- They live below the middle class status.
iii) নির্দিষ্ট পরিমাণ বা সংখ্যার কম বুুঝালে below হয়। যেমন- Mamun got below 80% marks in English.
Off এর ব্যবহার
i) দূরে অর্থ বুঝাতে off হয়। যেমন- Be off from here.
ii) বিচ্ছিন্ন অর্থ বুঝালে off হয়। যেমন- Switch the fan off.
iii) অভ্যস্ততা থেকে দূরে বুঝালে off হয়। যেমন- He is off his meal.
iv) মূল্য হ্রাস বুঝালে off হয়। যেমন- Tax is 20% off.
