Write a summary of the following passage(Max5-6sentences).

Style in clothing changes more rapidly because of fashion than because of comfort and necessity. Why are dresses short one year and long the next? The weather does not vary that much from year to year.

You might try to explain change in fashion by using practical reasons.  We could say , for example, that short dresses are cooler in summer and long dresses are warmer in winter. But these explanations are not satisfactory. Why not? Actually, the answer is that the need for variety and the desire to be different are as important or more important than the practical reasons. Differences even small  differences are noticed immediately. Fashions usually change because people want to be noticed.

In recent years a new element has been introduced into fashion. It is the shock element. You shock people by doing something radically different such as by wearing something unique. Some woman, for example, wear men’s clothes, while others wear extremely short for extremely long dresses.
