TITLE: The Crow and Goose
Once upon a time there lived a crow in a village. It was a very say of its ugliness. It was very envious of the fairness of a goose living in the same village. One day the crow went to the house of the goose and said to her “You are really very beautiful!”. This statement flattered the goose and she asked the crow what she could do for it.’ “I am very ugly. Nobody likes me and I wish to be like you,” ‘replied the crow ‘. “But it is very difficult; even then if you try you will be at least able to get rid of ugliness. You have to live in water for at least a year”, said the goose. The crow thought that if living one year in year in water could make it beautiful then it should do it.
Actually it became difficult for it to go out due to its ugly face. Every other animal called it ‘ugly crow’. So the crow decided to live in water as per the advice of its friend. It started living but it became difficult for it to survive there because it had to search food inside water but its body was not suitable for that. It could just catch fishes that usually float on water or the dead fishes. Day by day the crow was becoming weak and could not move to manage its meal.
One day its friend found it in a critical condition and asked the reason for this. The crow said that for want of food it became so weak. The goose felt pity for it and took it out of water. The crow tried to fay but could not fly because it wings became too weak to make a fly. A few days later, the crow died.
