Price of daily commodities soaring up

The prices of all daily commodities are on the increase. From the interview of the common people it is found that the prices of all the necessary items of commodities including rice are rising so high that the common people can hardly afford. A buyer at Babubazer said they rice price has increased between TK 1 and 2 per kg though the new harvest of Boro started arriving in the market. Different varieties of powdered milk have also increased between 2.19 per cent and 11.11 per cent. The price of garlic has increased between 15 per cent and 25.93 per cent, beef 2,13 per cent, mutton 4. 11 per cent, broiler chicken 3.70 per cent hilsha fish 11.76 per cent for the last one month, according to state owned trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB). The price of broiler chicken has increased compared with the previous week price. Per kg of broiler was sold at TK 145 yesterday that was between TK 135 and TK 120 in the previous week.
However, vegetable price remained same as in the previous week. The prices of loose soybean and palm oil and mug dal remained high.
Superior variety of soybean was sold between TK 130 and TK 140 per Kg while another variety of soybean was sold TK 120 per kg mug dal was sold at TK 120 while Masur dal depending on quality was sold between TK 85 and TK 105 per kg. Per kg of sugar was sold at TK 42 yesterday that was TK 50 in the previous week. Per kg of onion was sold between TK 20 and 22, Garlic was sold between TK 100 and TK 120 and ginger was sold between TK 80 and TK 100 per kg. The price of green Chili was sold between TK 50 and TK 55. Sugar was sold between TK 41 and TK 42 yesterday.
Common people have shown great concern over this price hike. They went government to take immediate steps to keep the price of daily commodities within their reach.
