How to Prevent Diseases

    Health is wealth. We should keep this wealth free from diseases. For this we have to prevent diseases because prevention is better than cure. But many of us ignore the saying. As a result, they have to suffer a lot from various diseases.

    To prevent diseases we have to follow certain rules of health. We should eat proper food containing carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamins and mineral salts. Vitamins and mineral salts prevent diseases. Besides, we should take rest and sleep properly and take regular physical exercise. We should drink sufficient pure water. We should also control our emotions,have patience and learn how to face reality and avoid anxiety. Above all we should follow the rules of cleanliness. We get numerous diseases due to lack of cleanliness. So, we should wash our hands with soap before and after meals and after using toilet, keep our nails short, take bath every day and wash our clothes regularly.

    We must not use other's clothes, combs and towels. We should not spit every now and then. We should try to prevent diseases like diarrhoea, skin infections, flu and TB and so on. Moreover, three vaccines for young children under age five as preventives that save them from certain diseases. For instances, BCG for TB, DPT for diphtheria, whooping cough and tetanus, Polio for poliomyelitis, Measles for measles. Thus the best way to prevent diseases and keep in good health is to follow the rules of health.
