In general sense, playmates refer to the friends with whom we used to play in our childhood. Children can play with toys but it is more interesting for them to play with other children. Playing with playmates gives children full satisfaction. So, playmates are necessary for the proper physical and mental growth of children.

I also had playmates in my childhood. I can clearly remember most of my childhood playmates. I used to pass most of the time of the day playing with them. We gathered together in the morning and played different types of game all day long. Sometimes when at noon our parents did not allow us to play, we tried to gather together secretly beyond the knowledge of our parents and enjoyed playing. Now being grown up I miss my playmates with whom I passed the golden period of my life. Now I have my new playmates too. They are mostly my classmates. Now in my boyhood I got new playmates with whom I play different types of games. Although in childhood I used to play 'kanamachi', 'bou ci', 'golla chut', etc. now I play cricket, football, badminton, volleyball etc with my present playmates.

I feel lucky that my new playmates are also as good as those I had in my childhood.In fact, having good playmates is a nice experience. I am proud of my playmates of my childhood as well as those of the present time.
