The concept of a digital Bangladesh refers to an ICT based country where all the possible tasks of the country will be performed by using digital technology. Its motto is the overall development of the country and its people based on modern technology.

To make Bangladesh a digital country by 2021, we have to establish technology driven e-governance, e-agriculture, e-health etc. The benefits of such governance are many. It will ensure the overall development of the country and the nation. Sectors like agriculture, health, education, commerce etc. will be highly benefitted. All types of corruption and crimes will be strongly checked. The people will be able to think globally and communicate with the whole world economically, academically, socially, politically and even culturally. The banking and financial activities will be easier. But there are some obstacles that stand in the way of developing a digital society. They are poverty, illiteracy, irregular supply of power, lack of ICT skill, lack of computer network, lack of consciousness etc.

To establish digital governance all the obstacles should be removed. First of all, regular power supply has to be ensured. Computer network must be developed throughout the country. Training should be given to the people to develop their ICT skill. Finally, our education should be computer based. In this regard the teachers and the students can do a lot. All classes of people should cooperate with the government in the development of digital Bangladesh.
