Load shedding occurs when generation of power is less then the demand. It has become a daily occurrence in cities and in suburbs. And it creates problems of far-reaching consequences in the economic and social development of the country. As a result, mills and factories become idle, industrial production declines, social order suffers a lot and domestic life becomes painful.

Men in all spheres of life have to live in stuffy and suffocating condition for load-shedding. The students close their books and sit disappointed under the cover of darkness. The house-wife gropes in darkness in the kitchen. Students also suffer in their study straining their eyes in dim candle or hurricane lights. It is unfortunate that power generation and suitable actions should be taken with careful planning to avert this crisis.
