A Dialogue Between Two Friends About Causes of Students' Failure in English and Solution
Sujon: Hello hasib. How are you?
Hasib: I am fine and what about you? Why do you look so worried?
Sujon: I am well. I am not worried. But I am thinking why many students fail in English. What are the causes behind it?
Hasib: There are several causes behind it. First of all, we do not have adequate, good and experienced teachers of English.
Sujon: You are right. We are learning communicative English but the teachers follow the age old teaching method. It is a major reason.
Hasib: Students are also not less responsible for their failure. Instead of following their teachers and without understanding their topic they cram their lessons all the time.

Hasib: It is not so difficult. For learning English properly a student should try to develop the four language skills - listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Sujon: I agree. But I think our infrastructure of education should also be changed and teachers should be trained to be adept to communicative teaching method.
Hasib: Sure. Besides, students should also change their habit. They should study regularly.
Sujon: Of course. Our teachers should also make English learning more interesting to the students.
Hasib: You are right. It is high time to take measures so that the students find interest in learning English.
