Myself: Hi! Sujon you seem to be very tired. What’s up?
Sujon: Correct you are . Actually I went to see the Jamuna multi-purpose bridge over the mighty river Jamuna and have just returned. What’s about you?
Myself: You enjoyed visiting the longest bridge in Bangladesh but didn’t tell me. I am really shocked. If you told me, I would certainly go with you.
Sujon: Don’t worry , friend . We will go there together on the next vacation by our car.
Myself: Now, tell me about its length and width.
Sujon: Its 4.8 kilometers long and 18.5 meters wide and the eleventh largest in the entire world.
Myself: Which districts does it correct?
Sujon: It connects the districts of Tangail and Sirajgonj.
Myself: Would you please tell me which company built this gigantic bridge and how long did the work to construct it?
Sujon: It was constructed by the Hyundai construction company of South Korea. About 15,000 people worked for four years to build it.
Myself: How did you enjoy the view of it standing on the Bank of Jamuna?
Sujon: There is “Jamuna Resort” at the eastern side of the bridge. Anybody standing at this resort will be marveled at the beauty of it.
Myself: How many pillars and spans does it have?
Sujon: It has fifty pillars and forty nine spans.
Myself: Have you gathered any more information about this bridge?
Sujon: I know that this bridge also facilitates gas, electricity and telecommunication lines between two parts of the country.
Myself: Thank you, for your polite and constructive conversation, I really came to know a lot of things which I didn’t know.
Sujon: It’s my pleasure and all the best.
