A dialogue between two friends about journalists
Sujon : For how long have you been in the profession of journalism?
Salim : Some five, six years.
Sujon : I thought you were inexperienced.
Salim : Five, six year experience means nothing, so, in a way, I am new.
Sujon : Whatever you are, but you are far more experienced than me.
Salim : Yes, you can say. What about your experience?
Sujon : (Laughing) nothing like experience. I joined this field some months ago.
Salim : Doesn't matter. Everyone is inexperienced in the start.
Sujon : Yes it is true, but even then, sometimes, you feel frustrated.
Salim : Yes, it is part of the game.
Sujon : You know, in the early stages, one gets almost nothing, but there is a hell of work.
Salim : (Consoling) don't you worry. Things will turn O.K.
Sujon : I am afraid, I will quit this job.
Salim : No, no, not even think like this.
Sujon : Are you satisfied with this job.
Salim : I am not satisfied, but I am not dissatisfied.
Sujon : What do you mean? isn't it paltering?
Salim : Actually, the thing is, one has to compromise with the circumstances.
Sujon : How can one? when everybody goes on snubbing you.
Salim : I do understand you, but with the passage of time one becomes used to.
Sujon : Thanks for encouraging me a bit.
Salim : No, no, it's just O.K. I can help you practically too.
Sujon : You are really great.
Salim : It's not so.
