A dialogue between two friends
Asif : Hey, look Farhan! Someone ran over that dog!
Farhan : Where's the driver? Did he pull over?
Asif : I don't think so. I think he took off.
Farhan : Asif, I'm going to run across the street and find out if the dog is alive.
Asif : How is he, Farhan? Watch out! He might bite you.
Farhan : I think his leg is broken. Look there's a police car! Run and catch up with him, Asif. I'll stay with the dog.
That's a good boy lie still. (The dog whimpers.)
Asif : The cop took off before I could get there.
Farhan : Let's try to get on that bus!
Asif : with the dog?
Farhan : Of course! We can get off at Pine near Walnut. There's an animal hospital there!
Asif : I'll run ahead and ask the bus driver to wait for you. You certainly can't keep up with me if you carry the dog.
Farhan : Good idea! We can hang around while the doctor fixes his leg, and then well try to find the owner.
Asif : Okay. Let's go!
