Example:
1. You (went) there yesterday?
Ans: Did you go there yesterday
2. He (lay) on the floor yesterday?
Ans: Did he lie on the floor yesterday?
Example:
1. You (went) there yesterday?
Ans: Did you go there yesterday
2. He (lay) on the floor yesterday?
Ans: Did he lie on the floor yesterday?

Ans: What were you doing then?
Example:
1. We (reach) the station before the sun rose
Ans: We had reached the station before the sun rose
2. The patient (die) before the doctor came
Ans: The patient had died before the doctor came.
Example:
1. We reached our home after the sun (rise)
Ans: We reached our home after the sun had risen
কিন্তু before/after এর পরে যদি সরাসরি কোন verb থাকে সেই verb এর সাথে ing যুক্ত হয়
1. We will phone you after (go) home
Ans: We will phone you after going home
2. I cannot tell you anything before (go) there
Ans: I cannot tell you anything before going there

2. Don’t go out till I (tell) you
Ans: Don’t go out till I tell you
Example:
1. They waited until I (return)
Ans: They waited until I returned
2. We were working till it (be) 10:30 pm
Ans : We were working till it was 10:30 pm
3. He kept them waiting till the sun (set)
Ans: He kept them waiting till the sun set
Example:
1. We will be (wait) for them
Ans: We will be waiting for them
2. I shall be (do) the work.
Ans: I shall be doing the work.
Example:
1. He should (did) the work
Ans: He should do the work
2. They could (informed) us the matter
Ans: They could inform us the matter

Example:

Ans: We should have done the work
2. He should have (be) conscious

Note: be এর Past Participle form হল been
3. You should have (have) sufficient money
Ans: You should have had sufficient money
